Adult Pottery Classes Lake Worth

Adult Classes

Adult classes at Potters Cove run for first-time makers, intermediate students, and experienced artists who want to keep growing. Pottery is at the heart of what we teach, but the studio also runs regular classes in painting, stained glass, glass fusion and enamel art, so there's room to follow your interests across different media. Sessions are hands-on from the first minute. You'll work directly with clay, glass or paint while an instructor guides your technique. The room is social and most people leave having made something they're proud of alongside people they enjoyed spending the afternoon with.

Booking and Scheduling

Use the Book Now button on any class listing to reserve a spot. Adult classes tend to fill quickly, so early booking is encouraged. If you're not sure which class is the right fit for your skill level or interests, give us a call at 561-557-5565 and we'll talk you through the options.

Memberships for Adults

Some adult students take a class or two and decide they want regular access to the studio between sessions. A membership gives you personal shelf space, regular use of the wheels, kiln firing on your pieces and Open Studio time every week. Since wheels and kilns need to be handled with care, we have a quick safety check with new members before approving access, which is why memberships aren't sold online. Give us a call at 561-557-5565 to talk through pricing and schedule.

Upcoming Adult Classes

The full schedule of upcoming adult classes lives on our calendar, where you can browse by month or quarter and book directly from any listing. Spaces fill quickly, so it's worth checking back regularly if a class you want is already full.

Ready to Get Your Hands Dirty?

Take a class and try working with clay or glass for yourself. Whether you're a first-timer or a returning student, an instructor will guide you through the process. Materials, tools and firings are included so you can focus on having fun and making a masterpiece!

About Adult Classes

There's a reason adult art classes have stayed popular even as everything else has moved onto a screen: working with your hands gives the rest of the day a counterweight. Clay, glass and paint don't reward speed or multitasking. They ask for focus, patience and a willingness to start over when something doesn't go right, which most people find is a satisfying way to spend a few hours.

Our Instructors

Classes are led by working artists who teach the disciplines they actually practice. The instructors who guide you through clay, glass or paint have built real experience working in studios over many years, and they bring that depth to the table, so they can answer questions that come up beyond the lesson plan. Class sizes are kept small so each student gets real attention rather than being one of a crowd.

Types of Adult Classes

Hand building, wheel throwing, glass fusion, enamel art, stained glass and painting all have a regular place on our schedule. One-and-done sessions are a good entry point if you're not ready to commit to a series, while ongoing classes and intensives suit students who want to push deeper into a specific medium or technique.

Class Structure and Experience

Most classes run two to three hours and start with a short demonstration. From there, students work at their own pace while instructors move around the room offering feedback and answering questions. After class, we handle trimming, firing and glazing on your work, and you'll get a call when your piece is ready to pick up, usually within a few weeks.
